getting fed up with shaw but no real alternatives

I am getting fed up with Shaw dropping channels then increasing the monthly fees. the alternatives are Shaw Direct, EV and the "new" Telus TV (don't they get their signals from EVU?)

I had Starchoice before and the compression on the channels was akin to watching You Tube videos. EVU was even worse.

Prince Rupert has City West and they get way more channels than Shaw and they only pay $90 per month... even the porn channels are included in that rate... so I can't see why Shaw charges so much ?

The AMC HD on Shaw is unwatchable !! the compression rate is so heavy I may as watch You Tube !!

Telus TV gets most of their signals from Bell, and a few from Shaw.

If cost is an issue, at $15 per month for basic service, Telus TV is a good deal.

The "new" Telus TV is satellite, and they are reselling Bell.

What do they get from Shaw? This would interest me for information purposes only.

    Compression ratios are an issue.

Only one I know for sure is MSNBC. They keep the Shaw Direct ads on it.

Telus Sat TV, is from Bell's birds, the Dish only has 2 x LNBF's pointed at 91 & 82, it therefore CANNOT get anything from Shaw.

Telus has had IPTV service in Vancouver for a while, but is only now being advertised as "finally here". Their IPTV service has been referred to as being the same as having Bell due to the simsubs.

Since MorningTotem didn't specifically state "Telus Satellite TV", I just assumed the IPTV offering was being referred to.
