I'm looking for a source of RG-11 cable and some good connectors(SnapNSeal?) in the Toronto-London area. Anybody know a source or suggest where to look?

You could try White Radio in Burlington.

You should go to the Commscope site and check the specs before you buy..

Or if not Commscope cable, check the specs on whatever brand of cable it is...

Not all RG11 is the same regarding attenuation, etc...

You might want to get a solid copper core cable which will handle the voltage for those long cable runs better than the the copper clad steel variety...

You can also check to see what the attenuation is at any particular frequency or range of frequencies depending on your plans of use...

Thanks for the link- several days of good reading there.
Gord- I talked to White Radio- unfortunately they only sell in 1000' lengths, and I only need 200'. If I thought I could split it with several people, I would take the chance, but RG-11 isn't all that popular /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. They will sell me the Snapnseal connectors for a good price so I'll get those from them. Anybody else with some suggestions for RG-11??

Well I bit the bullet and bought 1000' from white radio. Once I actually asked them the price, it turns out it was only about $50 more expensive than 200'. So now I just have to figure out what to make out of 800' of RG-11 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
