How many HD subs here will be having their own Superbowl Sunday parties now that ABC will be showing it again in glorious true HDTV?

as long as Starchoice carries it, I'll be having one.

Beer, saurcrout and pickled herring all over the carpet!

I have been having SB parties for 12 years with or without HD.
Thank goodness I wont have to apologize to all my guests as to why it looks so bad .

Does anyone know for sure how many Super Bowls have been broadcast in HDTV/EDTV? I say:
1998 - CBS
1999 - NBC
2000 - ABC
2001 - CBS
2002 - FOX
2003 - ABC
Am I correct?

All I know is the first canadian HD broadcast of the Superbowl was done by SC a couple of months after they launched the HDD-200 decoder. I think it was 2000.
As for the US stuff I'm not sure.

Actually it was just shortly before the introduction of the HDD201. I had a beta unit at my house and we watched the Superbowl on Jan 28th in StarChoice HD, StarChoice NTSC, BEVu SuperDef, and BEVu NTSC. Not all at the same time /forums/images/icons/smile.gif ... I did some blind testing with my guests of picture and audio quality to see how they ranked.

The 2000 Superbowl was also shown at La Mise au Jeu Restaurant in Montreal in HD, and also at 8 other locations across Canada I believe.

Yes, I do, for sure.
2000 - ABC
2001 - CBS

And ABC has said 2003.

2002 on Fox was not HDTV, it was 'Fox Widescreen'; 480i>480p 16:9.
