Who has Rogers Cable HDTV and can comment on it?
I am seriously thinking of either getting it to compliment my Star Choice setup or going back to cable completely.
Is there regular programming on the 5 (non-PPV/TMN) channels?
I notice they mention they upconvert when HDTV is not available. How much HDTV compared to upconverted material is there?
What about sports?
Thanks in advance.

I have both Rogers 3100HD and the ExpressVu 6000 hooked up to the same tv.
The programming is what is advertised on the various network websites (i.e./ CBS, ABC, NBC, PBS) so the nice thing is you don't have to worry about conflicts.
PQ I'm told is better on Cable but they look equally good in my eyes.
Fox has EDTV programming which is obviously not HDTV but definitely superior to FOX. Don't ask me why but my family believes Bernie Mac which is in EDTV looks better than any of the 1080i network programming.
Nothing on CDTV to date.

Do you have any problems with audio/video dropouts on Rogers HDTV?

There are audio/video drops. But by looking at the forums on AVSForums, I've come to the conclusion that it's source based.

Your question re: sports.
Unfortunately, there's not alot by the way of sports through Rogers HD. CBS did carry the Masters and March Madness. I'm assuming FOX or one of the other networks will carry baseball's allstar game in HD. What Rogers really needs is HDNet. They carry about 70? baseball games in HD.
