I was at Future Shop the other day talking to the manager about HDTV's and he mentioned that the shaw rep was in a few days ago telling him about the HD services they will offer in the future. He said that nothing was set in stone but that they would offer a HD reciever that may or may not offer dual tuner pvr and that it would sell for around $1000. He also mentioned that shaw would carry 7-10 HD channels and that you would have to pay for them. He wasn't sure how much they would cost but thought about $10/month.

Please don't jump all over me because this is concrete information I just thought that I would share what I have been told, if its real or not

Thanks,
JR

............ and the Future Shop sales rep doesn't make any commission selling Expressvu or SC eh?

Oldest sales trick in the book by Shaw. Send sales reps to competitors' retailers to undermine desire of untrained salespeople to move competitors product. Shaw sales reps obviously on salary or else they wouldn't spend time on activities that don't put dollars directly in their own pockets.

Actually I was the one who brought up Shaw. The manager was telling me how he has both SC and BEV and wouldn't switch back to cable unless shaw made some serious changes so I think that he was genuinly honest with me.

Anyway only time will tell
