View Full Version : 2700 acting bizzare!

Has this happen to anyones 2700? The problem I'm having is IPG keeps coming on and off, on te TV screen and the funny part is sometimes it the whole IPG and then only half,you see half the IPG half TV picture with the sound still going, then it turns itself. Then suddenly it comes back on after afew seconds of being off. Then it appears to be alright, then it starts the whole cycle al over again. This is the first time I ever heard or saw this.

Any guesses on whats happening?

BTW- its only happening on one 2700, all my other 2700's,4500,6000 are working fine. I also move the trouble 2700 and conected to each of the other lines and it still does the same thing. I think its either has had it or its haunted!!!

Do not think the spirits have invaded your 2700 yet. Spirits of another sort may settle your nerves. Strange things are happening to my 2700.....clicking sounds......very short blackouts.....the last one occuring at about 4:45 DST. Had the unit for a few years. Wonder what the life span will be?

Well mine is acting strangly too.
I has the Mute and vol enable on my 2700.
and yesterday tried to mute and no more mute or Vol.
So i went to menu to set it up again.

Then Mute works fine but if i press vol up or down the receiver loose the screen and it is look for the sat acquisition. Did a factory reset, unplug and all but still doing it.

So then I'm not alone here with my 2700. The funny thing is my other 2700's aren't acting up just this one.I tried conecting it on various lines where I have my 6000,4500, and other 2700's and it still does the samething.
