Interesting article in the Calgary Herald yesterday. Shaw released some information on digital channel subscriptions in Calgary (which they said was also representative of their other markets) including the top 10 and bottom 10 specialty channels. I won't list them all here but the conclusions were obvious. People were subscribing to the enertainment oriented specialty services (Animal Planet, MenTV, DejaVu etc.) but not to the 'cultural' channels (Pridevision, One etc.)
One big surprise was BBC Kids which was not popular at all.
