Bonanza on Lonestar

I just got an email to why Bonanza is not on Lonestar and they inform me that it will be here April 1st, but it hit me, could Canwest be playing an April 1 joke on me?

Another big missing show for Lonestar is Gunsmoke. I think there is a new Bonanza show I think called Ponderosa. I`ve seen it advertised on PAX.

Ponderosa is the stripped version of Bonanza for syndication. In other words it is missing 6 minutes of program from the original.

The interesting thing with Bonanza was that it had a different theme music for its final year on NBC than what we were accustomed to.

Ponderosa is a Prequal to Bonanza shot near Melbourne in the same location as Snowy River with a new younger cast. Ben is played by the guy from Hardcastle and Mccormic. it is Produced by David Dortor the origanl Producer and Beth Sullivan of Dr Quinn fame. I'm trying to get the series relocated to Bragg Creek by sending email and phonecalls to PAX, A-channel, Canwest Global. check out the website and read the forums.

I had forgotten about that short-lived series. I am right, however, about the stripped version also called "Ponderosa". Are you sure that PAX isn't referring to them?
