PanAmSat signed a 10-year, multi-transponder sales
agreement with Television and Radio Broadcasting Services
(TARBS), an Australian multicultural broadcaster, to launch a
new satellite TV platform in the United States.

Joining the ranks of GlobeCast and EchoStar's ethnic and niche
slate on DISH Network, TARBS will broadcast more than 50
channels of multicultural programming direct to consumers in
the United States over the Galaxy XR North American satellite.

TARBS has been a PanAmSat customer since 1999, when it
launched an ethnic programming DTH platform in Australia
over the PAS-8 satellite. The company, headquartered in
Sydney, broadcasts 52 channels of subscription television and
radio programming, sourced from government and private
broadcasters in 28 non-English speaking countries. Today,
TARBS distributes that programming throughout Europe, Asia,
Africa, the Middle East and Oceania."
