SA PowerVu boxes.. Are these for the old Cancom DTH company? From about 10 years ago?

According to Lyngsat F1 C band still has Powervu signals.

That receiver will work as a FTA DVB mpeg 2 receiver (symbol rate 3 - 30.8). However D9234 is a business model so the receiver does not have much memory for storing channel locations. The seller stated he had over 300 of these so you will likely see them up for auction again.

Last week they didn't come with a remote & manual...this one does. It would be almost impossible to find a universal remote for one of these things. Looks like someone outbid me already /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
