I have a BEV 6000 and am wondering if it is worth getting the OTA module?

I would suggest that you contact the station engineer directly to see if your location falls within the Grade A or B maps for their digital signal.

If it does, visit the avsforum on HD hardware and read up on the limitations of 1st generation OTA tuners (especially Echostar 6000)

Wait til the new lower priced 3rd generation OTA models come out this spring/summer. They will be cheaper and much better at capturing a signal in multipath situations. Multipath is typically found close to a transmitter where there are obstructions between transmitter/receiver and in distant locations, beyond the line of sight, where refraction is necessary to receive signal.

HEY! I live in Manotick, not sure where the transmitter is,but I got a 6000 & a sony HDTV.But I think some where in the 70's on OTA I haven't been able to receive anything.Either I live to close to the tansmitter or I don't got the proper anttenna to receive it.I know my 6000 can't something to to do with a "modulaler or something like that.
