About 13% of our members. Not bad.

Does anyone know how many 6000 receivers BEV has sold? It would be intersting to know for all the other providers as well. HDTV is growing fast.. sales of HDTV sets, and receivers.. hopefully this will grow similar to the growth of the DVD format. Maybe it will need HD-DVD to get it going even faster.

Well according to the latest CEA numbers (and I'm not sure if it includes Canada at all or not) theres been 361K digital receivers (HD STB's) sold altogether through the end of 2001. That includes the small percentage of HD sets with integrated tuners

This means that about 3 households out of 1000 in the U.S. are capable of watching HD. But about 2 million HD ready tv sets have been sold. Means alot of people still havent bought an HD receiver, but apparently are using the sets mostly for DVD's and regular tv.

I remember reading somewhere about 6 to 8 months ago that BEV claimed to have over 5000 Model 6000s authorized. Don't quote me though.

I have two 6000 ExpressVu receivers - and two Dish Network 600 receivers. (A pair on each HDTV set.) I wonder how many others have multiple receivers...and is four model 6000 in one house a record? Thank heavens the remotes can be programmed to different codes!

Does any one know from where, in Canada, I could get the Toshiba DST3000?

Why would you want it? The Zenith DTV1080 is far superior for OTA + HD PQ from all sources?
IMHO

I would wait a few weeks... I "investigated" this a few weeks ago. News of sub $200 STB coming down the pipe in the near future sorta put those plans on hold. YMMV

congrat's Dede.
your life will revolve around what's on in HD.
