is it safe to order a guide from canada that list the satellite channels etc....

Probably is safe but the way the postal systems work, you'll get it in the middle of each month.

I used to subscribe to Vu Magazine and I received it between 5 days before and 5 days after the beginning of the month.

But it was outdated by the 15th-20th of the month (this is the same with the one you buy in the store, actually).

If you're outside Canada (is it why you ask the question ?), I guess the delay will be higher.
