Well, there've been some subtractions and additions to the system, but you can get the tour here.
(You'll need the Flash plugin installed in your browser, and a high-speed connection is recommended)
Nice going LivingLegend ,
Very cool indeed.
Now I want to do that with my system.
I have pictures. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Very high tech and major moola I expect. A real treat for your family and friends to enjoy. (love that couch too).

Thanks for the comments guys...!
As for the 'major moola': While I've invested quite a bit on the audio side of things (the Acurus amps+pre/pro & speakers), the video side of things is very inexpensive. $2K for the projector - less then even the smallest RPTV. Shocking in fact when you consider that the image is over 2-3 times as wide and miles better looking (the difference between a $40K-60K front projector and a $5K rear projector is startling).
I posted more info in the "Looking for recommendations" thread that's also going on now. $2K Canadian will get a you a CRT projector with un-worn 8" tubes no problem. See the other thread or go to the CRT Projector forum of www.avsforum.com (http://www.avsforum.com>www.avsforum.com) and get yourselves on some of the mailing lists of the techs that sell used projectors... not only will the resulting image look better and be bigger, you'll save money as compared to buying a "big box" tv.

I think this forum should give you your own corner as a movie (DVD) reveiwer and then ask for member feedback or polling info..
Kind like our own Sisko and Ebret (sp?) but more emphasis that appeals to the HT crowd rather than average person who wants to go to the movies nd pay $10.00 just to get in the door. (side bar comment here: in BC, the new premier is planning to allow municpalities to charge a "entertainment tax" in near future.)
"Mike's Movie Review"...supply your own popcorn. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I didn't know the captain of DS9 was a movie critic too.
/forums/images/icons/wink.gif
It's spelled Siskel and Ebert.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but.......Siskel is dead.
Didn't ANYONE watch Leno in HD this week?
Geez!!! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Hmmmm...Ebert & Mike...naw, he'd take all the popcorn /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Actually, there is already a good website that does this, along with providing all kinds of news about DVD's. Checkout The Digital Bits. Bill & friends do a great of providing lots of DVD information and reviews, both mainstream and offstream.

Try www.dvdfile.com (http://www.dvdfile.com) as well - I find it much more up to date for movie reviews. They actually review movies before they're in the stores, unlike digital bits (which is good for news) which seems to often review movies 6-8 months later! They're trying to fix this as they've recently hired a bunch of new reviewers.
I also read www.dvdmg.com (http://www.dvdmg.com) reviews from time to time - especially those done by Mike M. (from Toronto) as he has a great high-end CRT projector setup (a Sony G90) and 'tells it like it is' when it comes to picture quality on a 8' wide screen. Some of the other review sites pretty much say that 'everything looks great', but a lot of problems come out when you blow a picture up to 8-10' wide I'm afraid.

Also try DVD Basen http://www.dvd-basen.dk/uk/home.php3. I use this as my DVD bible. This site collects the reviews from dozens of DVD review sites for all regions. It is nice to select the movie and get a listing of 5-10 different reviews. Also pretty neat to see the differences between the regions.

Where do you ever find all those movies? Any special place where you buy them?

The popular ones, I tend to get from Walmart (not a great selection, but usually the best price). Future Shop is usually pretty good about bringing in some of the less popular ones. The really obscure ones, I order online, usually from www.cnl.com in Vancouver. They have a great selection, but are little pricey especially when you include shipping. Good for those hard to find DVD's though.
There is a local movie/gift/everything else store near my house that I used to buy most of my movies from, but I don't know if he started raising his prices, or just didn't lower them when other stores did. I kept buying from there for awihle to try and support a local small business, but when it started costing me $4-5 more per movie, that got to be a little much. I still check every now and then to see if he brings his prices back in line, but so far he hasn't.
