Now that Instant weather is free do you still have to call for it to be activated?

Yep. You'll have to phone ExVu and have a CSR put the order in for you. You may have to wait upwards of a day or so...

Did I miss a memo? When did the instant weather become free? Is it mentioned somewhere ?

I didn't know it was free either. I was told by a CSR when I activated my 3100 that there was a free 2 month trial, but afterward it would be 50cents a month.

It just showed up on my 5100 about two months ago with no calls from me.

That's what I was told, too. I said to go ahead and give it to me for the two free months... but it never showed up.

There was a notice about the 2 month free trial on my most recent bill.

I'm getting charged 50 cents on my bill. I'm not sure its worth that (since I only have it one of three receivers) but then again, its only 50 cents!

We have instant weather where we are and we pay zero, zilch.

We open the front door (actually it works with the back door too), walk out and voila - instant weather

I use my K-9 weather system. I let my dog out. If he comes back in wet, then it is raining/snowing; if he comes in dry, it's not. Much more accurate than any weather person. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
