I have a SC 401 with dual LNBF, and I have a couple of questions about receiving some of the US stations mentioned in the previous topic:

1) Is there a table / method somewhere that matches the "VC" number listed in Lyngsat's table to a specific IF frequency, FEC, etc.?

2) A lot of the SC channels listed for the US services disappeared when my regional guide finally downloaded last week :-( (already asked SC for a change back to the national guide, no response yet). Is there any way to use the "Manual Tune" option in Options-6-778 to get these stations?

Thanks for any help...

Try this site.

Hope this helps. I did have a link to another good site but I will have to find it. Let me know if this site is what you were looking for.

That link had some of the info I was looking for. But see the chart at http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/starchoice.shtml

What do the S? and other number in the column between "video" and "audio" columns mean?

So for example, looking at the chart on http://www.lyngsat.com/t4.shtml there are some unencrypted DC2 channels on transponder 1U vertical at IF=996 MHz, which I could tune my SC 401 receiver to. I could also set the FEC rate to 3/4 and the symbol rate to 19.51Mbps. But how would I get the receiver to "lock on" to the right bitstream and display a video signal?

I have looked at channel charts for star choice and used the manual tune option to set the frequency, ploarity, etc as published. I can get a green light, but never video or audio...
