Rogers Cable introduces rental option for Personal Video Recorders
TORONTO, Feb. 11 /CNW/ - Rogers Cable Inc. today announced it is offering
customers the option of renting a Personal Video Recorder (PVR). Rogers is the
first Canadian provider to offer a rental option for this exciting new product
which is revolutionizing the way people watch television.

The PVR is one of the Rogers On Demand suite of services which also
includes 1000 Video On Demand (VOD) titles and time-shifted programming from 5
different time zones.
The Scientific-Atlanta Explorer 8000 Digital Terminal allows customers to
pause and rewind live television, record up to 50 hours of programming and
watch their favourite show while recording up to two other programs at the
same time. And it's easy to use. With one touch recording, shows can be
recorded at anytime through the interactive program guide by pressing the
record button on the remote control. Customers can store programs for as long
as they want.
The total cost for renting the PVR set top box is $19.95 month.
