For those that may have been concerned about the loss of Spirit on Mars and happy when they recovered Spirit. Here is a link on how they accomplished this.

I do not understand how they could write computer code without a proper exception handler to handle all possible file system errors. Something as simple as exceeding the number of files allowed in the directory structure should have more graceful error handling than simply causing a reboot. Perhaps they are learning how to handle programming errors from Microsoft's example. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I realize they are most likely working with very limited computer resourses but failure to implement proper error handling seems like a rather poor place to cut corners.
