I check my signal levels yesterday afternoon with clear skies - I was getting

57 for the High Definition Channels (291-296)
70 for the Standard Definition Channels

I am sure that I used to get values close to 90. I live on the west coast. For others living out here, what values are you getting.

Do you think my dish may have shifted?

I am still getting good pictures and sound on the HDTV channels with only a minimum number of dropouts - oftn with none.

Really comparing apples and oranges without knowing receiver type (405 or 401 with 201, dsr 500?), which dish (60 or 75 eliptical?) and which transponder or channel as they can vary in strength. But generally mine are about the same as bmiller so off hand I would guess that perhaps your dish may have moved slightly. A slight push in one direction or another without loosing anything should give you the answer. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm not sure about the 500 but I do know that there is a difference between the 421B and the 401, for example. The 401 will consistantly show a higher ebno using the same dish. For whatever reason, the 401 has been calibrated higher. Watching the same channel I am showing 6.8 on the 421, 8.0 on the 401 and 8.9 on the 500. TSRs must have a heck of a time troubleshooting using signal strength, as the refernce points can vary so much /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Vancouver area and have about the same readings as you...

68 non hd channels
55 hd channels

I havent looked at this in a year or so on *C so can't remember if I had better or not before.

I do know that I had high 80's with the old single dish and lost a lot when they installed (finally !!) the dual sat dish. However signal seems strong enough to work.
